In this post, we will examine the steps to importing a PDF into Chief Architect. We use a site plan as a real-world example. We examine the Zoning issues brought up in the placement of a building onto a site. We show how Chief Architect can be used to manipulate the site plan at whatever scale the Site plan PDF is imported. By using some Math we can figure out the ratio of the PDF to real World units and multiply the PDF size to accommodate. We use the Angle Measure Tool to determine how to rotate the plan where we want it. We use the point to point and the dimension tool to place the PDF where it is needed on the Plan. In the next video, we will cover how to draw the Site Plan using the 2D tools in Chief Architect.
